2013 WORLD LANDSCAPE ART EXPOSITION, Jinzhou, China
TLA prepared the overall design for the 2013 World Horticultural Exposition in Jinzhou, China. Based on the Expo’s concept of “Connecting the world with gardens and gathering garden art from all over the world in Jinzhou Central Park” the 4km2 waterfront park exhibits traditional cultural and ecological habitats, as well as futuristic and historically based gardens (IFLA Gardens). The site also contains a zoo, botanical garden, and aquarium that explore the theme of the origin and future of life on Earth and includes a special space in celebration of the city’s flower, the rose. An environmental art promenade with a shuttle transportation system encircles the expo park.
