Shin-Ohtsuka Park and Playgrounds, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo

 Located in Tokyo’s Bunkyo-ward, Shin-Ohtsuka Park and its accompanying children’s playgrounds have been well-loved and highly used nodes for local residents for many years but have become outdated, and as such the Bunkyo-ward government decided to carry out a redevelopment that reflects the needs of the current local residents and park users.

A public survey was carried out and multiple workshops held with the residents of the area, forming the basis of a highly upgraded landscape that takes advantage of the existing green space and results in a comfortable and safe park.
