This 6.7 ha. park on a sloping site above the town on Oshima island was developed to honor the lives lost from the great landslide caused by a typhoon in 2013.

 

TLA provided the design and coordination of the park's development through the facilitation of public workshops and local student support, creating a vision of the park as not only a living memory of the disaster but as a future oriented public space that would motivate citizens to be involved in its management and operations. The park was awarded by the Consultants of Landscape Architecture in Japan (CLA) in 2021.
