The Miyota watch movement factory was designed in a circular shape reminiscent of a wristwatch. The surrounding landscape, developed within the imagery of "the factory in a park", forms a powerful and sensitive context for the factory and contains 800 trees of sixty species and 24,000 shrubs of forty species.

 

The greening of the site has contributed to the local community by improving the roadside and public landscape, contributing to the urban forest, and providing woodland footpaths.

The project was awarded by the Nagano Prefecture Association of Architects in June 2018.
